Book Synopsis
The emotional journey between Liu Yun and the male lead, Huang Yu, unfolds with a heavy heart. At the beginning of the story, Liu Yun receives a diagnosis from the imperial physician revealing that she is suffering from a terminal illness. Meanwhile, Huang Yu finds himself trapped in a web of guilt and self-blame.
In his turmoil, Huang Yu forces Liu Yun to organize a memorial for his first love, Xiao Yue, placing the burden of responsibility squarely on her shoulders. As time passes, Liu Yun silently endures the torment of her illness, while Huang Yu's actions outside begin to surface, leading to increasing tension between them.
Ultimately, overwhelmed by the afflictions of her disease and the weight of reality pressing down upon her, Liu Yun makes the heartbreaking decision to end her own life. In this extreme act, she seeks to prove both her love and hatred for Huang Yu. In the aftermath, Huang Yu is left to confront his endless remorse as he faces the reality of Liu Yun's death.
