Book Synopsis
The Queen fell into the water and remained unconscious for three days. When she finally awoke, her gaze towards the Emperor was like that of a lamb awaiting slaughter. Lying on the bed, she smiled brightly, "There are countless men who desire me; what do you want?"
The Emperor: ???
"Men, I won't repeat myself!" Her phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, her tone impatient.
Suppressing his anger, the Emperor forced out a smile that looked more like a grimace. "As long as the Queen is in good health, I am content."
"Oh? So you've been thinking about my body?" She laughed, her laughter vibrant and teasing, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Man, you've successfully caught my attention."
The Emperor's temples throbbed; was this woman out of her mind?
"Are you satisfied with what you see?" She suddenly leaned closer, her warm breath brushing against his face, her clothing partially undone, revealing her snow-white skin.
The Emperor's breath hitched as he found himself nodding involuntarily.
Her laughter grew bolder as she delicately lifted his chin with her slender fingers. "Remember, you are the first man brave enough to meet This Palace's gaze."
A-Ying turned pale with fear and dropped to his knees, trembling uncontrollably.
Two pieces of silver were tossed before the Emperor as she smiled seductively. "You can only have my money."
...
In the dim candlelight, her eyes danced playfully as she spoke lightly, "It seems you truly want This Palace to bully you thoroughly."
